Michael Skowlund is a Professional Landscape Architect and Director of Omni Ecosystem’s landscape architecture studio, Omni Workshop™. Leading on projects of all scales across the country and abroad, Michael is adept at finding solutions to complicated building and site challenges. Devoted to collaboration between clients and multidisciplinary design teams, Michael enjoys crafting resilient landscapes that maximize functional and aesthetic potential. Michael earned his BS in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has lived on the east and west coasts prior to returning to his Midwestern roots. Active in the growth of landscape architecture discourse in Chicago, Michael regularly serves as a design critic and teaches a theory course in design detailing at the Illinois Institute of Technology School of architecture. When out of the office, Michael loves exploring the great outdoors with his wife and three children.
